BlendMode

Used by: Layer - Visibility.

Value Integer Description
Straight 0 Colors are applied without any modifications
Multiply 1 Darkens the layer underneath using the top layer. Bright areas become darker, and dark areas stay dark.
Screen 2 Brightens the layer underneath using the top layer. Dark areas become lighter, and bright areas stay bright.
Overlay 3 Combines Multiply and Screen. Light areas of the layer underneath get lighter, dark areas get darker. Mid-gray areas are mostly unchanged.
Darken 4 Keeps the darkest values from the top layer and the layer underneath.
Lighten 5 The opposite of Darken
ColorDodge 6 Lightens the layer underneath using the top layer, creating brighter mid-tones.
Difference 7 Shows the difference between the top layer and the layer underneath. White inverts the colors of the layer underneath.
Subtract 8 Subtracts colors from the base layer, making the result darker.
Add 9 Adds colors, making the result brighter.
RgbStraight 10 Keeps raw RGB values without multiplying by alpha. Often called “Unmultiply,” useful for chroma key work.
Hue 11 Keeps brightness and saturation from the bottom layer, but applies hue from the top layer.
Saturation 12 Keeps brightness and hue from the bottom layer, but uses saturation from the top layer.
Color 13 Uses color from the top layer, brightness from the bottom.
