AvSyncStatus (Enums)
The A/V Sync Receiver's headline verdict, for the coloured status indicator. Three states rather than two, because "not in sync" and "cannot tell" are different answers and only one of them is a fault in the signal being measured. A receiver that has lost the test signal, or is watching a frozen one, knows nothing about sync - reporting that as out-of-sync would be a guess, and reporting it as in-sync would be worse. The DescriptionAttribute text is what the property panel displays.
Used by: A/V Sync Receiver.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
NoSignal |
0 |
No usable measurement: nothing arriving, or the signal is standing still. |
InSync |
1 |
Locked, and picture and sound are on the same frame. |

ContrastMode
Used by: Regional Contrast.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
RGB |
0 |
RGB - Apply contrast to all color channels |
Luminance |
1 |
Luminance - Apply contrast to luminance only (preserves color) |
CubeCloudColorSpace
Used by: Matte Paint Keyer.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Rgb |
0 |
The RGB cube, black at one corner and white at the opposite one. The space the selection volume is actually addressed in, so it is the one where a keyer's geometry is literal. |
HsvCone |
1 |
The HSV cone: hue around, saturation out, value up, converging to a point at black. Separates "what colour" from "how bright", which is what makes a screen's exposure ramp read as a single straight line from the apex. |
Lab |
2 |
CIE Lab*: lightness up, a* and b* across. Roughly perceptually uniform, so equal distances look like equal colour differences — the space to judge whether two colours are actually close rather than merely close in code values. |
XyY |
3 |
CIE xyY: chromaticity across, linear luminance up. The only space where exposure is exactly factored out — scaling all three channels leaves chromaticity untouched, so one screen at every exposure is a single vertical line, and the cone-shaped selection a fitted capsule cannot express becomes an upright cylinder. Near black, chromaticity is ill-conditioned and sprays. |
YCbCr |
4 |
BT.709 Y'CbCr — the vectorscope, and the space video is transported in. The only one of these that is affine in RGB, so it is the only alternative where the key overlay keeps its shape rather than merely its reach. Chroma subsampling shows here and nowhere else. |
CubeCloudMarker
Used by: Matte Paint Keyer.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Box |
0 |
A shaded cube. Its three visible faces read at different brightnesses, which is what gives the cloud its sense of depth. |
Sphere |
1 |
A shaded sphere. Rounder and less directional than a cube, at eight times the triangles — noticeable only on a dense cloud at a high bin resolution. |
Plane |
2 |
A flat square turned to face the camera. Evenly lit, so each marker is a patch of exactly the colour it stands for, which is the easiest of the three to read a colour off. |

DeEsserMode
How the de-esser targets and tames the sibilant region of the signal.
Used by: De-Esser.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Wideband |
0 |
Detects sibilance in the band around the chosen frequency, then briefly ducks the level of the whole signal — the most audible, most natural choice for a single voice. The bandwidth control sets how focused the detection is. |
Split |
1 |
Split-band reduction (a dynamic high-shelf): a crossover ducks the entire high band above the chosen frequency, leaving the lower frequencies untouched. The bandwidth control is not used in this mode. |
Bell |
2 |
Bell (peaking) reduction: ducks only a narrow band centred on the chosen frequency, leaving the air above the sibilance untouched. The bandwidth control sets the width of the bell. |
DecklinkCaptureBufferDepth
Number of captured frames a Blackmagic input keeps buffered ahead of the render loop when it is NOT the sync source. A deeper buffer absorbs capture-timing jitter, reducing frame duplication/skipping, at the cost of one extra frame of latency. Number of captured frames buffered ahead of the render loop for a non-sync Blackmagic input.
Used by: BlackMagic DeckLink Capture v3.
(No @ScriptEngine-tagged members.)
DecklinkCaptureMode
Selects how captured frames are transferred from a DeckLink card into the pipeline. Optimized uses a zero-copy path that is lighter on memory and CPU and is the default — it is the value used by new inputs and by any project that does not explicitly select a mode (including very old projects saved before this setting existed). Classic uses a copy-based transfer path that works reliably across all Desktop Video driver versions and remains the compatibility fallback for drivers that misbehave with the zero-copy path; projects that explicitly saved "Classic" keep it.
Used by: BlackMagic DeckLink Capture v3.
(No @ScriptEngine-tagged members.)
DecklinkPlaybackMethod
How a Decklink output hands each frame's picture and sound to the card.
Used by: Blackmagic Decklink Target v4.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Synchronous |
0 |
Each frame is sent the moment it is rendered, for the lowest possible delay. On the system clock the computer's clock and the card's never run at exactly the same rate, and over time the sound can drift behind or ahead of the picture. |
Scheduled |
1 |
Each frame's picture and sound are scheduled together a few frames ahead and played from the card's own clock, so the sound does not drift against the picture. Adds a delay of a few frames, which moves by up to a frame and a half as the clocks differ; the difference between the computer's clock and the card's is absorbed by now and then skipping or repeating a whole frame, picture and sound together. |

MattePaintGrowShape
Used by: Matte Paint Keyer.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Box |
0 |
A box. Three separable 1-D passes, which is exact and cheap, but it puts corners on the selection — and a corner reaches roughly 1.7 times further than the radius asked for, into colours that are further from the screen than anything the grow was meant to include. |
Spherical |
1 |
An ellipsoid, from a thresholded distance transform. Reaches the same distance along each axis as the box but nowhere further, so the grow stops at an even distance from the painted colours in every direction. Samples no more than the box does, but carries a wider working value through two extra passes, so a solve costs roughly twice as much. |
MattePaintKeyerOutput
Used by: Matte Paint Keyer.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Original |
0 |
The unprocessed incoming image. |
Key |
1 |
The matte as greyscale — white where the pixel is kept, black where it is keyed out. |
Histogram |
2 |
A 3D scatter of the input in RGB space: the colour cube drawn as a shaded room with red, green and blue axis arrows, and one small cube per occupied colour bin, each the colour it stands for. Shows where the screen's cloud actually sits, how tight it is, and how close the foreground comes to it — the things a flat preview cannot tell you. A diagnostic view rather than an output to broadcast; the key itself is unaffected. |
HistogramKey |
3 |
The 3D histogram with the key drawn over it: the grown selection as a solid red volume and the blurred falloff as a glow around it. Shows the two things a flat matte cannot — whether the selection actually encloses the screen's cloud, and how close its soft edge comes to the colours in the foreground you are trying to keep. |
Garbage |
4 |
The active garbage matte image or live layer, with the same offsets used by the key. Preserves source transparency; areas outside the matte are transparent too. Black when Use garbage matte is off or no source is available. |
Final |
5 |
The original image with the matte applied as alpha. |

NemotronLanguage
Spoken language to transcribe. Auto detect first, then the languages the shipped model transcribes in alphabetical order, then those needing a fine-tuned model. Picking the language that is actually being spoken matters: the wrong one produces nonsense rather than a degraded result.
Used by: Speech To Text (Nemotron).
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
AutoDetect |
0 |
Let the model decide, once per sentence and from the opening moment of speech in it. Slightly less accurate than naming the language. Detected Language reports what it chose. |

NetBalancerPriority
Per-direction priority used by NetBalancer's nbcmd.exe to shape Composer's traffic. Values match NetBalancer's GUI dropdown one-to-one. Custom and Limit packets aren't included because they have no CLI surface — those require NetBalancer's GUI to configure.
Used by: NetBalancerTarget.

OcrExecutionMode
Used by: OCR.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Asynchronous |
0 |
Recognize off the render thread (default). Each frame is handed to a background worker and the operator reads back the previous frame's result, so recognition never slows the render pipeline. The reported text lags the live frame by roughly one frame, and two independent operators may report adjacent frames. |
Synchronous |
1 |
Recognize the current frame before the render tick finishes — the operator blocks until this frame's result is ready, so the reported text matches the frame on screen and two genlocked operators report the same frame number. Costs render-thread time equal to the recognition latency per scanned frame, which can exceed the frame budget; use only when a live, in-sync readout matters more than throughput. |
OcrScanMode
Used by: OCR.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
SingleLine |
0 |
Treat the whole scan region as a single line of text and run only the recognition model on it. Fastest mode — ideal when the region is cropped tightly around one word/number (e.g. a burned-in frame counter). |
Detect |
1 |
Run text detection to find every text box inside the scan region, then recognize each one and concatenate the results. Handles arbitrary multi-word / multi-line text at the cost of an extra model pass. |
OperationType
Used by: Min/Max Filter.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|

Max |
1 |
Maximum (Dilation) - Expands bright areas |

SrtSimulatedLatencyPattern
How the SRT target's simulated send latency evolves over time. A debug/testing aid used to reproduce variable-latency and congested links (e.g. for SRT input synchronization tests) without a real WAN.
Used by: SRT Target, SRT Target 16 channel audio.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Static |
0 |
Constant added delay (base latency only, no variance). |
RandomWalk |
1 |
Delay drifts randomly around the base within +/- the jitter amount. |
Sine |
2 |
Delay oscillates smoothly around the base by +/- the jitter amount over the period. |
StepSchedule |
3 |
Delay steps between base and base+jitter each period — reproducible congestion events. |
SrtSyncCongestionPolicy
Policy for what a synchronized SRT input group does when one member's network congests and it can no longer reach the group's target timecode.
Used by: Settings.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
HoldSync |
0 |
Hold sync — keep all members frame-aligned by increasing the group's shared delay to cover the slowest member. End-to-end latency rises (bounded by the max sync buffer), but the group never loses alignment. Default. |
LowLatency |
1 |
Low latency — keep the group playing at its current latency; a congested member freezes/repeats its last frame and re-locks when it recovers. Latency stays low but the congested member briefly loses sync. |
SrtSyncLockState
Live synchronization state of a single SRT input relative to the studio sync group.
Used by: SRT input, SRT input 16 channel audio.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
NotSynchronized |
0 |
This input is not participating in synchronization (Synchronize is off). |
Locking |
1 |
Buffering and waiting for the group to agree on a common start timecode. |
Locked |
2 |
Locked to the group — emitting the group target timecode on every frame. |
OutOfSync |
3 |
Was locked but has drifted or under-run and can no longer reach the target; re-locking is in progress. |
Fallback |
4 |
Locked using the PTS/cadence fallback because the stream carries no embedded SMPTE timecode. Weaker guarantee than a timecode lock. |

11 |
Object Property — display the live value of a property on a component or the project. Type the path in the ObjectName.PropertyName format in the Text field, for example MyInput.SomePropertyName. The text input then shows the current value of that property and updates automatically when it changes. Use Project.NumCongestiveFramesSinceStart to show the project's congestion counter. Names are case-sensitive; Project is reserved and takes precedence over a component with that name. |

TimecodeStartMode
Where the embedded output timecode starts counting from. How closely Time of day keeps up with the wall clock afterwards depends on the frame rate in use - exactly at 24 / 25 / 30 / 50 / 60, to within about 70 ms at 29.97 / 59.94, and not at all at 23.98.
Used by: Blackmagic Decklink Target v4, SRT Target, SRT Target 16 channel audio.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Zero |
0 |
Start at 00:00:00:00 when playback starts. |
TimeOfDay |
1 |
Latch the wall-clock time of day when playback starts, then count up by frame. Tracks the clock exactly at 24 / 25 / 30 / 50 / 60 and to within about 70 ms at 29.97 / 59.94. At 23.98 it cannot track the clock at all and runs about 0.1% slow - some 86 seconds behind over a day - because timecode labels 24 frames per second of 23.98 material and SMPTE defines no drop-frame scheme for that rate. |
TimecodeTransport
How an embedded output timecode is carried on the wire.
Used by: SRT Target, SRT Target 16 channel audio.
| Value | Integer | Description |
|---|---|---|
Sei |
0 |
In-stream SEI (SMPTE S12M) inside the video codestream. Requires HEVC — H.264 and AV1 do not carry a recoverable timecode this way. |
Ancillary2038 |
1 |
A separate SMPTE ST 2038 ancillary-data stream (ATC timecode) in the mpegts multiplex. Codec-agnostic — works with H.264, HEVC, and AV1 — and readable without software video decoding. |
