AES67 Input

AES67 Input properties for Script Engine. Receives uncompressed PCM audio (L24 or L16, 48 kHz) from an AES67 RTP multicast stream — the receive-side counterpart to the AES67 Target. Use it to bring professional Audio-over-IP (including AES67-compatible Dante sources) into Composer, or to loop a Composer AES67 Target back in for testing. Audio only; carries no video. Configure the multicast address, port, bit depth and channel count to match the sender; the stream is buffered and reclocked to Composer's render cadence.

Property Type Access Description
ShowAdvancedOptions bool get/set Reveals advanced/expert properties in the panel. Off by default — flip to On to see fields like the jitter buffer size.
AutoStart bool get/set When On, the input starts receiving automatically when the project loads.
MulticastAddress string get/set The IPv4 multicast group to receive from (224.0.0.0–239.255.255.255). Must match the sender. Can be changed while running — the receiver re-joins automatically.
Port int get/set UDP port the stream is received on (default 5004). Must match the sender.
BitDepth Aes67BitDepth get/set PCM bit depth of the incoming stream. Must match the sender (L24 or L16).
Channels int get/set Number of audio channels in the incoming stream (1–8). Must match the sender — AES67 RTP carries only a channel count, so this cannot be auto-detected.
PrebufferMs int get/set Amount of audio to buffer before playback starts, in milliseconds (default 60). Higher values absorb more network jitter at the cost of latency.
ConnectionStatus ConnectionStatus get Current connection state (Disconnected, Connected). Read-only.
StartCommand Command get Begins receiving the multicast stream.
StopCommand Command get Stops receiving and releases the multicast socket.
BufferedMs int get Current amount of buffered audio, in milliseconds (read-only). Hovers near the configured buffer size while streaming; 0 means no audio is arriving.
PacketsReceived int get Total RTP packets received since the input started (read-only).
Underruns int get Count of render frames where the buffer ran dry and silence was produced (read-only, debug). Climbing means the buffer is too small or the network is dropping packets.
Ssrc string get SSRC of the most recently received packet, in hex (read-only). Match this against the sender's SSRC to confirm you're receiving the expected stream.
