R3 2026

Codename: TBD — in development — unreleased.

  • Windows → DeckLink manager… shows arrival timing relative to any project sync source, together with signal status, queue depth, discarded pictures, repeated output and intentional holds. Selecting a reference changes only the diagnostic view. Arrival phase describes host timing; it does not prove optical camera alignment.
  • GET /api/decklink/metrics exposes the same numeric measurements in Desktop and Runtime, with an optional reference-source GUID. See the HTTP API reference.

New inputs

  • SRT Input (and SRT Input 16 channel audio): reads an embedded SMPTE timecode from the incoming stream and exposes it as the read-only Captured timecode property (matching the Decklink capture input), for logging, feed synchronisation, and automation. Populated when the sender embeds timecode (e.g. an HEVC SRT Target with timecode enabled); empty otherwise.

New targets

  • SRT Target (and SRT Target 16 channel audio):
    • HEVC (H.265) encoding via NVENC is now selectable alongside x264 and H.264 NVENC.
    • Embeds an SMPTE timecode into the outgoing video (starting at 00:00:00:00 or the time of day, with automatic drop-frame at 29.97 / 59.94 fps), readable by a downstream SRT Input. Requires HEVC.
  • MoQ Target: HEVC (H.265) encoding via NVENC is now selectable for video tracks. The MoQ sink takes it alongside H.264, AV1 and MJPEG thumbnails; the MPEG-TS/SRT sink alongside H.264. HEVC runs at the encoder's Main profile; there is no profile setting to configure.
  • RTMP Target (Multi scaler): HEVC (H.265) encoding via NVENC is a supported destination codec. The stream is sent as Enhanced RTMP, so the receiving ingest must accept HEVC over RTMP.

Monitoring compatibility

  • DeckLink Capture v3 statistics now count actual discarded pictures and separate new live video, repeated video, intentional holds and empty output. In /api/inputs/getstatistics and statistics logs, replace AvQueueDepth with QueuedCaptureFrames, FramesFlushed with DiscardedVideoFrames, and FramesRepeated with RepeatedVideoRenderIterations. Allocator fields now use the HostAllocator* names; CapturedMinusPlayed was removed. The project-wide /api/getstatistics response is unchanged. See the statistics field migration table for the full mapping and counter definitions. Public script aliases remain available, but PlaybackFrames now counts only new live video and excludes still-store substitution and intentional holds.
